Vinyasa Flow is a 60-minute practice based on the general sequencing of Baron Baptiste. Poses are cued with the breath to encourage easeful movement. Vinyasa begins with a warm up integration, flows through Sun A’s and B’s, grounds us with its balancing postures, and ends in a peaceful Savasana.

Vinyasa Flow is taught at an intermediate level, but made accessible to all levels. The goal is to accommodate all yogis with supportive props and modifications. Vinyasa will leave you feeling challenged, renewed, and centered.

Heather recently received her RYT 200-Hour Yoga Certification at Sense of Samadhi in Yorkville. Five years ago, she found herself in search of a new type of workout. As a full-time marketing professional, she realized that she needed more than just physical movement. Heather needed to tend to the demands which her career placed on both her mind and her body. In teacher training, they learned that yoga is a body maintenance program. “I can’t think of a better way to say it myself; I feel an obligation to share yoga with my community.”

Heather teaches a 60-minute Vinyasa Flow, which is based on the sequencing of Baron Baptiste. Her class teaches students to connect with their breath as they move their bodies through the postures, or asanas. “The more we connect to our breath on our mat, the more natural it becomes to do so off our mat, in daily life.” Yoga philosophy is honored each time Heather teaches, with a concentration on kindness and life balance.
